Downloadable resources

Content in the Catalog of Puzzle Types is based on the Guide to The Enigma. The Guide includes not only the lists of puzzles, but many articles about puzzles and the NPL in general. Most of these articles are available on the main website.  You can download the full up-to-date PDF of the Guide in two formats:

• 1‑up format, suitable for printing full-size or reading on a device
• Booklet format, suitable for printing and folding into a booklet

Note that the guide is quite long (the booklet format is 27 double-sided pages; the 1-up format is 108 pages).

Other downloadable catalogs provided by NPL members include:

• Dart’s summary, which lists the most common flats by family (e.g., all the deletion types together), as well as alphabetically, and gives a brief overview of the most common forms 
• 530nm330Hz’s microguide, a single page which lists the most common flats by representing the relationship between base words symbolically

Note that these guides focus on the most common puzzle types and do not include all the content of the current online catalog or the PDF of the Guide.
